Join us every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary to celebrate and share Christ’s love and acceptance. With our mixed service of traditional and contemporary, we have something for everyone.
Sacred Time Out
Meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the parlor in an informal setting. Share songs, prayers and testimonies of faith experiences which challenged and/or changed us to experience God’s love in a new way.
A nursery is available for children four and under. It is open on Sundays from 10:20 a.m. until worship is over.
The nursery room is located in the Children’s Sunday School room between the Pastor’s office and the Sanctuary.
Our Nursery Director will take excellent care of your children.
Sisters in Spirit
Sisters in Spirit is a Sunday school class for women. This class studies current books about faith or people of the Bible. Laughter and/or tears are shared by the sisters of this class. They meet at 9:15 a.m. in the Sunday School room to the left of the sanctuary.
This class is open to all and meets in the church gym at 12:30 p.m. each Sunday. Learn the Japanese arts of Jujitsu, Aikido, and Karate.
Music & Arts Ministry
During worship, we have a blended worship filled with contemporary and traditional hymns led by our praise team. At times this music brings people to their feet and their hands together and warms the heart and soul.
Choir We have an active choir that rehearses weekly from September to May on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Reading music is not a requirement, only a willing spirit! In addition to the choir’s diligence in preparing anthems for Sunday worship, the choir participates in an annual fall massed choir concert that raises money for Neighborhood Services, Inc.
Handbells From September to May, our Handbell team meets weekly to rehearse on Saturday at 12 p.m. The only requirements to play the hand bells are being able to count, and to know your left hand from your right!
Summer Special Music While choir is on hiatus, special music is provided by soloists and small groups. These Sundays where people of all ages share their talents, is a wonderful way to enjoy the summer!
Drama Another way in which we explore our faith is by sharing the talents of the Maynard flock through drama. With monologues, reader’s theater, litanies, and similar dramatic media, we experience God in new ways.
Studying books of faith, encouragement and enlightenment, etc, these groups change throughout the year so watch for announcements in Sunday bulletins, emails, newsletters, or on this website.
Children’s Sunday School
Our Children’s Sunday Schools classes meet every Sunday, during the school year, from 9:30 – 10:20 a.m. for children in grades K-5.
Kindergarten through 3rd Grade
4th through 7th Grades
8th through 11th Grades
12th Grade through College
It is a time to celebrate and share the stories of God and Jesus discovering how they affect and guide our lives today. Our teachers use storytelling, games, arts and crafts, and music, in addition to Bible reading to reinforce the weekly lessons.
During the school year, the youth group meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the church. Youth Group is an open and active group of middle through senior high school students (ages 12 – 17 years), welcoming believers, seekers, doubters, and those who just want to have fun. We invite youth to come, bring a friend, and grow with us. Come for the fellowship, stay for the journey.
Whether we were going on field trips, having lock-ins, or just hanging out in the parlor, our goal is and will be to encourage, strengthen, and meet each other’s needs… to reach out as a shining light to others in our own communities and beyond through service and love…and to have fun in the process.
